I'm extremely grateful to call the people at comfort cafe and Serenity Star my family! God sent Teri & Rosie to Smithville Tx, to not only save my life! But the life of so many others... And oh yeah! The food is phenomenal...and the secret ingredient is LOVE!
It was truly a pleasure to eat here. I loved everything about it.
The staff here is great. They have speciality coffees which were delicious. When I was there a guy was playing some great acoustic music. The music was not very loud though (if you are worried about noise).
And on top of it all the restaurant is run for a purpose benefiting a nonprofit organization. Food for a cause.
And be sure to check out the mirror/mural hallway too. It's a sight!

And we were traveling through so we walked right across the street to a neat park for the kids to play outside before getting back into the car.
This is one of my favorite eateries in Bastrop County. They have a wide variety of delicious options on their menu, and the staff is always courteous and friendly. I love introducing friends to the comforts of this unique cafe.
I tried the philly cheese steak with jalapenos as well as the pancakes. Both were awesome.
Found this place by chance. If I remember correctly it is a cash only place (they might take checks also?) but they definitely didn't take cards.
This place was amazing and for a good cause! Our server was really nice and proudly told us his story! Cash only place and food is by donations. They have a great team and some of the best food I have had in a while. Can't wait to have my mommy breaks at this place again! Thanks for the great experience.
